Pump Rentals & Sales: All Types of Pumps – Centrifugal Pumps, Diaphragm Pumps, Submersible Pumps (Dewatering or Trash Pumps) and More

See also Pump Training and check out our Pump Testing Facility.

Need to buy a pump, all our pumps are available with diesel or electric power, trailer or skid mounted and with the Silenced Package. Contact our Sales Department for more information.

All Rain for Rent manufactured pumps have an end suction centrifugal pump with a fully automatic priming system incorporated into the design. This enables the pump to self-prime from completely dry conditions, even with extended suction lines. Liquid is not required to prime the pump, and therefore, in temporary dry conditions, the pump will 'snore' until such time as liquid is available

Power Prime Centrifugal Pumps

Rain for Rent offers end suction, self priming, vacuum assisted centrifugal pumps in sizes ranging from 3 inch suction and discharge connections up to 24 inch. Units can be skid mounted or trailer mounted, engine drive or electric motor driven. All units are high efficiency and produce higher than industry standards for flow rates and operating pressures. These pumps are available in many materials ranging from, cast iron, sg iron, stainless steel (SS) or CD4MCU materials. Rain for Rent offers a wide selection of its pumps in sound attenuated enclosures or in general terms “quiet pumps” with ultra low DBA (decibel) ratings, which are well suited for all type of bypass work from fresh water, canal, river or stream or sewer bypassing in residential or remote areas

Submersible Pumps and Air Compressed Pumps

Submersible pumps (sometimes referred to as trash pumps or dewatering pumps) are used for all types of general de-watering and fluid transfer, and are the pump of choice when suction lifts of greater than 28 ft are anticipated. These units are electrically driven and can be operated on 110 volt, 240 volt or 480 volt services. This power can come from a fixed source or from a generator set

Air Operated Diaphragm Pumps (AOD’s) are perfect for applications that require pumping of fluids with varying viscosities. The pump, since it operates off of air, is explosion proof by design, a variable speed pumping rate can be achieved by simply regulating the amount of air that to the pump. The unit can also be fully submerged into the fluid with no side effect to the pump or liquid with very minor alterations.

Tempe Town Lake 85MGD Sewer Rehabilitation

This system successfully bypassed a peak flow of  85 MGD with a maximum pipeline capacity designed  to handle 110 MGD.

Tempe Town Lake is one of Arizona's most popular urban outdoor destinations, with more than two million people visiting each year to boat, fish and attend concerts, firework shows and a variety of festivals.  It is also one of the fastest growing urban areas in the United States.

After Hurricane Katrina

The Mississippi Coast was slammed with horrendous winds and an estimated 30' wall of water affecting vital infrastructures. Major power generating plants, chemical plants, municipal water and sewer facilities, and communications were severely damaged or totally inoperable.  Beach front property was now non-existent as the houses and businesses that once supported the economy were completely destroyed.

In New Orleans, storm water surge and severe winds from Hurricane Katrina caused large sections of the 17th Street Canal levee to wash away. The breach allowed water from Lake Pontchartrain to pour into the city, destroying lives, homes and businesses.  > the whole story

Taunton Dam Project

The fall of 2005 was one of the wettest seasons in New England’s recorded history.  The incoming rainfall, coupled with the already surcharged reservoir system, was proving to be a challenge for local municipalities especially in Taunton, Massachusetts.  Downstream from Taunton lies the Whitten Dam, a timber built structure that has successfully held back the water of the Mill River for 173 years … until recently. > the whole story.

South Alamo Canal Bypass
The Calexico East Port of Entry is one of the busiest crossing points between the U.S. and Mexico.  To accommodate increased commercial and passenger traffic, the State of California is constructing State Route 7 (SR-7) to connect the port of entry with I-8 in southern Imperial County.

SR-7 cuts across prime farmland where about half of the winter lettuce and vegetables consumed in the United States and Canada are grown. The Imperial Irrigation District (IID) supplies water to this farmland. The IID in Imperial County, California is the largest irrigation district in the United States.  The new road will cross several canals owned and operated by the IID. > the whole story

Pond Evaporation

Excess rainfall and snow left an environmental remediation company looking for a solution to remove excess water from the surface holding ponds at an abandoned copper sulphate mine which is located in a northern California mountain range.

Due to the remote location, 7000 foot elevation, and limited access to the mine site...> the whole story
