HH-125 Power Prime Pumps Keep Onboard Fire Systems Pressurized for U.S. Navy at San Diego

U.S. Navy regulations require that onboard fire systems remain pressurized when ships undergo repair.  So, when the USS Tarawa pulled into the 32nd Street Naval Station in San Diego for repair work, it was clear that the shipyard needed a company with the expertise to provide an effective fire water pumping system.

Rain for Rent’s Riverside branch responded to the call with two HH-125 Power Prime™ pumps.  The HH-125 meets U.S. Navy fire water pump specifications of 125 psi and a flow rate of 750 gallons per minute.  The unit’s fully-automatic priming system enables the pump to self-prime from completely dry conditions ... even with extended suction lines.

A Spillguard provided secondary liquid containment to prevent any oil or contaminants from leaking into the ocean.

Enlisted into service, Rain for Rent responded with a solution to enable the repairs and return to service of the USS Tarawa.  Anchors Away!
