Rain for Rent’s TDH Calculator app delivers critical pump data without formulas or spreadsheets

[Bakersfield, CA – June 5, 2013] – Rain for Rent, a leading provider of temporary liquid handling solutions, today announced that there have been over 2,300 downloads of its sought-after TDH Calculator mobile app since its introduction in August, 2012.

Designed to simplify a common everyday calculation used for determining pump selection, the Rain for Rent TDH Calculator app is an intuitive tool that can be used anywhere to accelerate complex calculations and the decision-making process for engineers, field operators and technicians across multiple industries.

“I discovered Rain for Rent’s TDH app while I was searching for information about friction loss,” said Gerry Herman, Civil Engineer. “It helped me make a preliminary decision on an upcoming project, and it was so easy to use that I highly recommend it to my engineering colleagues.”

Available as a free app for the iPhone, and coming soon for Android operating systems, the TDH Calculator has become a recognized tool-of-the-trade with monthly downloads worldwide rising steadily to the current level of 200-300 a month.

“This proves that the pump industry is looking to adopt new mobile technologies,” said Mike Grundvig, Vice President Project Management, Rain for Rent. “With the feedback we’ve received from users, we’re working on a second-generation app that will make pump selection easier than ever, as well as a suite of other apps that will simplify a variety of daily operations for our customers.”
