Efficient Filtration System Saves Customer $1 Million
View PDFBACKGROUND
A contractor working for New England’s largest energy provider was building a new substation with tight space constraints on a commercial site that needed dewatering and water disposal. The contractor and energy company estimated that they would need a dewatering system to handle about 700- 800 GPM, with water discarded off site.
OUTCOME
Rain for Rent provided a 1,000 GPM filtration system using two DV150i Sound Attenuated pumps and three 21,000 gallon tanks, along with five 10,000 pound carbon vessels to effectively prepare the discarded water for clean disposal into the municipal storm drain.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Rain for Rent recommended a filtration system versus hauling the water to dispose of it off site which saved the customer approximately $1 million during the course of the three month project.
- The system was designed with custom-fused headers to make the set-up as compact as possible, fitting into the small space on the jobsite.
CUSTOMER FEEDBACK
The customer was very pleased with the performance of the turnkey system which met their needs to fit into a tight space, and saved them money.
