Filtration Saves Hydrotest Contractor Time & Money
Benzene and solids presence posed costly problem for contractor
View PDFA hydrotesting company working on a pipeline that spanned from Alabama to Illinois needed to handle the 12,200 barrels of water with suspended solids and benzene that would result from the test.
Rain for Rent designed a continuous filtration system using carbon filtration, bag filters, two temporary holding tanks and a four inch pump. The filtered hydrotest water was tested for contaminants and yielded clean results. The water was then discharged into a nearby creek.
The hydrotesting contractor estimated the cost savings of filtering the water on site rather than trucking it for disposal was at least $50,000 on this one project and plans to use Rain for Rent for future hydrotesting projects.
