Strawberry Drip Irrigation
Drip tape yields perfect strawberries.
To get a perfect, red strawberry, farmers have to take many steps in the set up of their field to get the berry to grow well. These berries require specific ground preparation, fertilizers, pumps and filters. When a California farmer, who typically grows lettuce, broccoli and cauliflower decided to plant strawberries, he called Rain for Rent for the right drip system.
Rain for Rent designed a system to accommodate the grower’s 50 acres of strawberries using drip tape, layflat mainline hose, fittings, valves and sand media filters. Drip tape is commonly used because it can be installed under the strawberry beds, irrigating the crop from the roots up.
The grower was happy with his irrigation system and the bounty of his strawberry crop.
