Pivot GPS Saves Customer Thousands
Pivot Swing Arm Corner machine controlled by GPS instead of buried wire.
A farmer in Idaho needed to put in a pivot with a Swing Arm Corner that would fold in and out of the corners in his grain field. To control the machine, a wire is typically buried underground to guide the machine. In this grower’s field, they would have to excavate through rock and bury the wire at the desired depth, which would be very expensive.
Rain for Rent suggested a Swing Arm Corner machine that could be controlled with GPS instead of the buried wire. This solution allowed the customer precise control of the machine and thousands in excavation cost savings.
